- “To”: Is to be used strictly for people you are directly communicating with.
- “Cc”: Is referred to as a carbon copy or courtesy copy. Use this field to include anyone who should read the email for information or reference purposes only. No reply, feedback or agreement is required.
- “Bcc”: Is referred to as a blind carbon copy. Use of this field allows the sender to share information with the “Bcc” recipient unbeknownst to the other people on the routing. As a sender, remember the use of the “Bcc” is exclusionary and could alienate some people.
